Bag of Beans

[3/3 My Birthday Celebration: Tagaytay Edition]

A notable cafe in Tagaytay City, Bag of Beans, will automatically come to mind when you want a sip of coffee, a slice of cheesecake, or just to chill in their cozy and rustic ambiance. I don’t know how many branches are in Tagaytay now but during our trip last week, we saw 3 branches.

[Still part of my birthday celebration] I know that this day will be full of roving and picture-taking, thus, energy-consuming. So I want to recharge and fill our tummy tanks again before heading back to Manila and I want it in Bag of Beans. But here’s the catch, I am looking for the specific branch with colorful umbrellas and bottles attractively hanged.

From Gratchi’s Getaway, [to save time] we entered the 2nd branch we saw along Aguinaldo Highway (later I knew that this is the Athena Branch) and we directly asked Kuya (parking attendant) if this is the branch we’re looking for. Upon hearing “colorful umbrellas” he quickly answered “Ay Ma’am hindi po dito yun. Dun po yun sa blah blah blah...” Thanks Kuya! J

We arrived 4:20pm. Before finding our seat, I asked my RJ The Boyfie if we could check the place first. Well, Kuya was right, eto nga yun! *smiles from ear to ear*

Cheesecake and Hot tea… because my belly’s not feeling well.

I love it having shabby and sophisticated vibe.

We stayed not too long because we already sensed heavy traffic going north.

My birthday celebration Tagaytay edition, to sum it up, is incredibly amazing! J We accomplished our itinerary and I checked off 3 places on my bucket list!

I want this article to be informative as much as possible so I called Bag of Beans (yes! cellphone to landline) just to shed some light on me with regard to their branches. I was told that Bag of Beans has currently 4 active branches and 1 temporarily closed branch (near Rotunda).

The 4 branches are:
Athena Branch – near Our Lady of Lourdes Church; with Taal view
Twin Lakes Branch – with Taal view
Charito by Bag of Beans – located along Aguinaldo Highway, Maharlika East, Tagaytay City
Main Branch – the branch we visited; with colorful umbrellas J ; without Taal view

Checked some blogs about these branches and I am thrilled to go back.
We will never run out of reasons to visit Tagaytay.

Gratchi's Getaway In Tagaytay

[2/3 My Birthday Celebration: Tagaytay Edition]

We can all feel the scorching heat in Manila and the quickest getaway we could do is go to Tagaytay. Everyone’s favorite escape especially those from Manila.

[As part of my birthday celebration] I searched for hotels and resorts that has pool facility. But since I only have less than a week before this birthday celebration Tagaytay edition, I find it hard to look for one. Well there are I think one or two who responded but too costly, not practical for a half day stay. So I have to call a friend, I told RJ The Boyfie this kaartehan of mine. And I thank God for giving me a supportive boyfriend J

He found a place and he didn’t want to reveal. Secret daw but I will surely like. He gave a hint and by that magic word… taa-daah! I knew it! It’s Gratchi’s Getaway! J A farm resort in Tagaytay.

So after spending morning time in Sonya’s garden, we drove along Aguinaldo Highway. This place is not so hard to find. Gratchi’s signs will guide you along the way.

11:30 - We arrived at Gratchi’s Getaway.

Here are the activities and rates:

The highlight of this day... SWIMMING! 😄

Farm babies - the term for their very own ostriches, native pigs, monkeys, ducks, chickens, turkeys, civet, and goats. Feels like we're having an educational trip.

Camera ready ostrich :)

Gratchi's Getaway is also a great place for team building activities. We witnessed one during our visit. This 6-hectare farm is equipped with facilities from easy to hard courses.

Day Tour at Sonya's Garden - A Secret No More

[1/3 My Birthday Celebration: Tagaytay Edition]
As part of my birthday celebration, I told RJ The Boyfie that I want to visit Sonya’s Garden in Tagaytay. This is actually included in my line up of Places I Want To Visit in the South. Why? Because I love gardens, flowers, fresh air, I just love nature :) I am a fan of garden resorts so if you know one please tell me *wink*. Guess I am already a graduate of weekend partying with friends haha! True that, when you’re getting old, you just don’t want the loud and shambolic crowd. #Tanders

Today, I Turn The Page to 28

Well I guess it's true that there'll come a time in your life that you will stop counting your birthday. I think I stopped mine on my 25th. Haha! 😂

I started the first hours of my birthday chatting with my mother. She's telling me stories about what happened this week to Max Lalaber (my dog), my preggy sister, and the twins. I also told her how my week went - the result of my annual physical examination (normal BMI finally! 😄), my officemates, and how my uniform pants won't fit me anymore! 😱
